While we are busy organizing, think about this: Recently in the news it was reported that our government is contemplating getting ballistic finger prints from each firearm sold. THIS IS DANGEROUS!!!!!
 
Getting the ballistic data from each gun made is ok, that way your name and other info can't be included. It smells to much like a national gun registration program. The last time I remember an attempt by Uncle Sam to create a federal gun registration law was I believe in 1986? That was when they were trying to pass legislation for guns to be registered with the IRS so they could be taxed every time they were sold. It was unconstitutional then and now.
