History does not long trust the care of freedom to the weak or timid.
- Eisenhower
While many of us may not agree with the teachings or actions of The Branch Davidian Church, that doesn't matter. The proven facts of government encroachment, use of unnecessary deadly force against children and so many cover-ups to make the whitewater investigations look mundane should make every American tremble.
A common thread exists among the Waco, Ruby Ridge and Gonzalez stories. In Waco and Ruby Ridge warrants concerning the possibilities of illegal weapons were issued, from rumors. Was there a need for delta force to appear at Waco after the A.T.F. screwed up?
At Ruby Ridge, what harm can an unarmed mother with infant in hand do to swat members to order an execution of mother and child? As a man, and a trained sniper at that, what could this mother and child do to harm this bad-ass sniper man, whom the mother did not know was even there? She was shot through the kitchen door with infant in tow while on the phone. Sounds dangerous to me.
The infamous picture of the Gonzalez child hiding in the closet with the fisherman who saved him while an I.N.S. agent held his mp5 at the child's head was government for sale at it's best. What was the danger to the 100 plus poorly trained jackbooted thugs?
These three illegal raids all have this in common: These American citizens may exercise The Right To Keep And Bear Arms.
A citizen of the good ol' U.S.A. from the communist cuba came here for a better life and enjoyed being a true American - became a success of our free enterprise system and legally obtained a simple shotgun inherently as our own forefathers did.
So what's the connection? Unless you plan on having large signs planted on your lawn or front door claiming you refuse to own a firearm, count on ill-trained federales ready to bust down YOUR door to get granddad's old rifle you have stored in the attic.
Don't plan on pleading your cause in court though, many witnesses in the Waco case disappeared.
